Some terrible experiments and supernatural-ness have led to Terpang2's protagonist being kept in a secret facility under lock and key. The opening level is an explosive escape from this imprisonment that instructs, without hand-holding, the main mechanics. This level also makes clear that the story, while it has a bit of depth, is not going to be the main focus of the title.

Silent Hill as a series has always been quite interesting. No game in it seems to follow the same methodology as the previous one, or at least that is true of the first four games by the original Team Silent. Silent Hill 2 in particular seems to run on the theory of Silent Hill, yes the town, calling people in to present them with their own or someone else's personal hell. Shin-chan: Shiro and the Coal Town sees Shin-chan on holiday once again, chilling with his grandad and getting into mischief. To begin with the game very much follows the same setup as the preceding title, but as the story gets going Shiro, Shin-chan's dog, disappears overnight, returning covered in soot.

Hop into a new body and get moving in this mind bending, mysterious and twisty storyline. Players take control of a couple of characters, co-existing in their minds, intermixed with their conscience both running the show. This is a unique premise that is played for some really interesting scenarios in the story. As the player progresses they learn a lot about the dystopian world that this future is, where the poorest in society are exploited to power the gargantuan AI services of the world.

Ryunosuke Naruhodo is a great protagonist. Similar to the titular Phoenix Wright of the previous entries, he's emotional and caught up in bad business at the start of the story. The first case sees him "committing" a murder and the tutorial has players acting as their own defence guided by his university friend. The courtroom is set out as players will remember, with some tweaked but familiar characters such as the bearded Judge and the spineless Prosecutor.

After explaining that she can control space in a mystical way, her need to make her own way in life puts her on a path where she leaves home in the dead of night. This power to shift reality by folding the area like paper means that she can problem-solve for her family and community in a unique way.

Players assume the role of Soh, the protector of Yoshiro, who must fight to cleanse areas across the mountain and rescue the people who have been corrupted by defilement. The game opens on a stinger cutscene; it sets the scene with a short narration, then shows the defilement taking over the mountain and ultimately sealing the shrine at the top. Yoshiro, who narrowly avoids being caught up in the creeping defilement, manages to summon Soh to help her escape.

Most will know what to expect jumping into an enthusiast car video game, an atmosphere of pomp, flowery narration and music that meanders on the menus and lobbies in the title itself. Forza Motorsport's 2023 release continues this trend. The intro sequence gently explains racing mentality and sets the scene before dropping gamers into the seat of a couple of racing cars to do a short stint of racing ahead of letting them loose with their own vehicles.

Roll up, roll up! Join Princess Peach and her Toad entourage as they head out to the Sparkle Theatre, having seen it advertised in a flyer. Arriving at the theatre all seems well but once Peach reaches the lobby the curtain rises on a show-stealing act perpetrated by the sinister Grape and her Sour Bunch. Here, players find themselves trapped in the theatre and Peach agrees to help out by saving each performance.

NFS: Unbound's story is actually quite entertaining even though it doesn't do anything particularly unexpected. Following in the path of Underground and Most Wanted, it is mostly focussed on rising through the street race rankings while avoiding police suspicion and trying to do things right by the supporting cast.
