DocumentCloudA few key changes have been made to the DocumentCloud API to make it easier for developing new tools. Add-On runs may now be filtered by an Add-On ID, allowing you to narrow your search for the specific run of an Add-On without doing post-query filtering. The projects endpoint now includes two new filters: Shared and Owned. Setting is_shared to True will return only the projects that are shared with the currently authenticated user.

We at DocumentCloud, with support from the Filecoin Foundation for the Decentralized Web, are uploading documents for long-term preservation and distribution via the Filecoin network and the InterPlanetary File System (IPFS). IPFS is a peer-to-peer distributed file system, meaning files are dispersed across many hosts, also called nodes. The Filecoin network is a system that offers incentives for sharing and storing data using a blockchain and tokens, including through IPFS.

DocumentCloud’s embeds for notes, pages, documents and projects, which all have different customization options, are now all documented in one place. Users that are interested in calling DocumentCloud Add-Ons with the API now have on how to get started. The now provides the page numbers for citations in the document.
