DiscussionThe adult heart proliferates at a lower level strengthens the fact that cardiomyocyte can repair post injury. Here, we show that ER stress mediated activation of Tbx20 promotes cardiomyocyte proliferation and limits cardiomyocyte apoptosis by activating Bmp2/pSmad1/5/8 pathway and upregulating the expression of cardio-protective Atf6 arm of UPR.
