Once upon a time, being “put together” meant heels, dress pants and closets that didn’t dare involve comfort, snack crumbs or stretchy fabrics. Don’t get me wrong: some days I wish I could avoid it, but I’ve grown to learn a healthy balance of the news can be a good thing. I have so many friends that say, I just can’t watch it — it’s way too depressing. I get that and some days I wish I could just avoid it too. But, the truth is in our fast-paced digital age, the news is more accessible than ever for everyone, and it’s really hard to avoid it.
