Baking mixes are a pantry staple for many, including myself. Even if you consider yourself to be a top-tier home baker who genuinely enjoys creating gravity-defying layer cakes, laminating sheets of buttery pastry, and trying recipes straight out of "The Great British Baking Show" tent, you can't deny the utility of this store-bought product. All you need to do is add the ingredients listed on the back of the box (like eggs, oil, and water), give it a stir, and pop it in your oven to bake.

The toppings list at your favorite local ice cream shop is likely short — and sweet. You'll probably find the usual suspects: sprinkles (both rainbow and chocolate), Oreos, hot fudge, strawberries, and maybe chopped nuts if you're lucky. There's nothing wrong with these toppings, per se, but they don't really add much to your ice cream, especially when it comes to a flavor as nuanced — and as simple — as chocolate.

Few soda brands have earned quite the same level of recognition as Mountain Dew. This fluorescent yellow-green beverage can be found in grocery and convenience stores across the country. While it's long been associated with Appalachian communities, it's also associated with gamers, Taco Bell, and more. In an effort to revitalize its brand identity, its parent company, PepsiCo, gave Mountain Dew a revamp -- including dropping its abbreviated name, "Mtn Dew," which it started using in 2009.

In addition to its newest offerings, like the prebiotic soda line, Simply Pop, it has remained a go-to for sugary cravings since its inception back in 1886.
