Last but not least, it's time for readers to pick their baseball player of the year. No programs brought home a state title this time around. Prince Avenue Christian made it the furthest in GHSA with an appearance in the semifinals but were shut down in a doubleheader by Calvary Day. This broke the Wolverines state championship streak — they won in 2023 and 2024. Athens Christian also fell in the GIAA semifinals to First Presbyterian Day.

As Texas Tech softball and coach Gerry Glasco prepare for their debut in the finale of the 2025 Women's College World Series, Glasco is looking back on someone who left an important impact on the sport: Gerry's late daughter, Geri Ann. Senior, now alumna, Cadence Keese, who earned 3A-Region 8 Player of the Year honors earlier in the season for her singles performance and finished 20-2 overall, helped the team win the state title after winning a state title in track the day before.
