Sabrina Song brought her dreamy vocals to The End on Nov. 16. 17 minutes ago When I walked into The End on Saturday night, I knew I was in for a treat. The End, historically a rock venue, is known for its grime and edgy charm. With walls covered in stickers and the names of past performers written in neon paint, I wouldn’t exactly describe it as a cutesy venue.

After two sold-out Exit/In shows, Ella Langley can certainly say ‘Hey Ma I Made It.’ 2 minutes ago “Excuse me, you look like you love me.” If you’ve been anywhere on the internet, you’ve certainly heard these lyrics. If you’re unfamiliar with the artist behind these, it is none other than rising country singer Ella Langley. While “you look like you love me” is Langley’s most popular song, with over 100 million streams on Spotify, Langley is certainly not new to the country music scene.

On Oct. 11, breakout pop singer Jenna Raine released a fresh version of her viral hit “Roses,” now featuring her close friend and rising Nashville star Avery Anna. While the original track has already found a permanent spot on many of my playlists, Anna’s vibrant addition makes this new version irresistible. Raine seemed to be just as excited about the collaboration as I was. “I’ve always dreamed that we would get to work together,” Raine said. “I’m obsessed with her music and her phenomenal voice.

I can’t find the words to describe how magical Passenger’s performance at the Ryman on Aug. 30 was. As a concert journalist, my job is to capture the essence of a show in words, allowing those who couldn’t attend to immerse themselves in the experience. Usually, I don’t struggle to find those words. However, I left the venue with chills across my body. While I may never fully capture my feelings, I will do my best to paint a picture.

I was lucky enough to find Avery Lynch’s music well over two years ago and have not stopped listening since. My chaotic DMs to her showcase my overwhelming excitement, in which I shared that she had me “sobbing” upon the first listen to her music. After many releases since that date, Lynch continues to amaze me with her heartwrenching lyricism and angelic voice. I could not have been more excited when Lynch announced she was heading to Nashville to open for Blü Eyes on tour.

Most Vanderbilt students have a first-day-of-class tradition. For some, it might be getting a sweet treat at Jeni’s or having an FDOC photoshoot in front of their Commons House. However, to fully embrace being in Nashville and my love for country music, my FDOC tradition is attending the ACM Honors, which I have been lucky to attend for the past two years.

After deciding to study abroad in Australia next semester, I’ve been searching for artists whose music I could see live while there. I stumbled across artist Dan Sultan, an alternative rock powerhouse hailing from Melbourne. Lucky for me, Sultan spent two nights in Nashville playing at the Ryman as support for fellow Aussie, Vance Joy.

Maeson decided to make this tour “A Solo Experience,” leaning into the solo-style tour that other artists have experimented with. Not every artist can make the solo format work, and I was nervous to watch Maeson do the same.

After not being able to attend HARIZ’s Nashville show last semester, I was excited to be able to connect with him while he was back in town on Aug. 23. HARIZ has spent his summer on the road with JVKE on his “What Tour Feels Like” tour, and Nashville’s Brooklyn Bowl marked the 15th stop. This is not HARIZ’s first tour, but he told The Hustler it has had the highest caliber of production of any tour he has been on in his career.
