Joanne Metz has called Latrobe home for the last 100 years. Living in the same house her whole life, she likes to joke that the house is younger than her. Metz has been able to pass down her memories from growing up during the Great Depression, World War II and Pearl Harbor, to name a few historical events. She even has a story to share about a brief passing by with Frank Sinatra. In an interview with the Latrobe Bulletin, Metz shared some life advice about the people we encounter in the world.

Alexis Jean Coletti is passionate about advocacy and change for the betterment of humanity. She is a Greater Latrobe School District alumna and recently graduated from Duquesne University with a number of accolades. As the recipient of the 2024 McAnulty College of Liberal Arts General Excellence Award, she was chosen as the valedictorian speaker for the McAnulty College of Liberal Arts graduation ceremony that took place on May 10.
