    How do you serve your community? In addition to serving as the First Selectman of Greenwich, I am a member of several non-profit organizations. I serve on boards and committees at the Flood, Erosion, and Control Board; the Red Cross; the Greenwich Council of Boy Scouts; and Saint Roch’s Roman Catholic Church, just to name a few. Since my teen years, I’ve enjoyed being active in the community and coached baseball for several years.

    How do you serve your local community?  Our luxury outerwear manufacturer has been in business since 1960. The company was started by my father and is now run by myself and my sister, Joan Nathenas. We are one of the remaining factories in NYC that can make furs by hand using the same craftsmanship used for generations. We excel in making bespoke furs, custom shearlings, luxury outerwear, and accessories. Bridal has become a niche for us—making stoles and wraps.

    During freshman year Hudson traveled to the Wind River Range in Wyoming, a Native American reservation, where he helped to rebuild basketball courts and built a community with the locals. Sophomore year he traveled to Cuba to do the same. Both experiences taught Hudson that it is important to help people in need and also build connections. Junior year he was the liaison to the School House Apartment for the Elderly and made sure the residents received birthday presents, uplifting notes, and gifts.
