Today’s Spring Statement brought little change but plenty of uncertainty, writes LGC editor Sarah CalkinNo one could accuse the chancellor of not putting on a brave face at today’s Spring Statement. LGC cannot ever recall anyone looking quite so pleased with a 0.2% increase in GDP, but Rachel Reeves looked positively thrilled to be sharing the news that the Office for Budget Responsibility had forecast this was what planning reforms would deliver by the end of the parliament.

Good decision by @lgcplus @sjcalkin to cease the printed edition. Their online offer is very decent and reactive to the localgov agenda on a daily basis. I haven't looked at a printed copy in years.
