A Delta Air Lines flight was evacuated on Monday after one of its engines caught fire prior to departure at Orlando International Airport. Shortly after 11 a.m., Delta flight 1213 was “pushing back from the gate for departure” when one of its two engines caught fire, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said in a statement, according to NewsNation. Delta said its crew members followed procedures when flames “were observed” and all 282 passengers on board were evacuated.
