Refresh Carers Well-being Project is for unpaid parent carers who live in Little London/Woodhouse/Hyde Park. We have funding from Leeds Community Foundation to work in these areas in 2024 to try to reach unpaid parent carers of children, young people and adults with disabilities or long-term health conditions and to work together with them to run Wellbeing Workshops. Average (ratings) Abstract Patients and clinicians in the cardiac intensive care unit (CICU) are often tasked with making high-stakes decisions about aggressive or lifesustaining therapies. Shared decision-making (SDM), a collaborative process where patients and clinicians work together to make medical decisions that are aligned with a patient’s goals and values, is therefore highly relevant in the CICU, especially in the context of palliative or end-of-life decisions.

The first year of cardiology fellowship is challenging, let alone when you spend most of the year pregnant. But everything had gone well—uncomplicated pregnancy, uncomplicated birth, uncomplicated first days of life. We were discharged within 48 hours with a healthy baby.
