College is so confusing. It’s like, you’re supposed to be an adult who lives independently, but people still treat you like a child, so you’re still seen as naive. It leads to mixed messages and not fully being sure who you’re supposed to be. Truthfully, I came into college thinking I knew exactly who I was, but here I am, four years later, and I am different. It wasn’t until this year that I realized how different I was.

A common concern that a number of people have before coming to college is having to share a bathroom, either with a few roommates or an entire floor. I completely understand how this experience can be daunting for new college students. I remember having my concerns about it too, so I have come up with some ways that I survived a community bathroom. I think these tips will help newcomers feel more comfortable with the college experience.

Online spaces are not sacred anymore. This has been a long time coming, but the rapid change of technology and social media has destroyed itself from the inside out. There’s a lot to say about the deterioration of these spaces, but the main focus that has been on my mind is influencers. I think that at this point in the internet timeline, influencers are not all that they used to be. Even the word “influencer” has negative connotations about the online world, fame, wealth, and beauty.
