I can't believe this. I'm so heartbroken. The journalists at Reckon are indescribable. It's a newsroom I admired for years, long before ever starting with the Alabama Media Group. This is such a devastating loss.

.@reckonnews is shutting down and 11 staffers were affected by layoffs. Reckon was part of @AdvanceLocal and owned by Advance, owners of @CondeNast. The Black Joy brand, newsletter, and two associated employees will be moved to New Jersey Advance Media.

Not to be a hater but I think we have taken the wrapped trend *too* far. I love a good wrapped, do not get me wrong, but there are some apps that I simply do not need that information for.
