ACU students gathered for a time of fun, food, skating, and a costume contest. The private event costed ACU students at a discount of $5 each. BSU Officers Logan Beckwith and Tamil Kayode-Adele and others, organized and ran the check-in table at the private event.

The Black Student Union held its annual Skate Night on November 1st at The Skatin’ Place. Students gathered for a time of skating, food and a costume contest. The event’s theme was meme night, where attendees dressed up as their favorite meme (from the early 2010s with Vine to the days of Musicaly or current TikTok trends).

Various sororities, fraternities, and campus organizations showcased their creative floats while handing out candy to excited children.

Friday’s Homecoming Carnival showcased local businesses like the Abilene Axe Company and Bahama Bucks, along with members of the Griggs Center’s Founders Club. Small businesses like Elegant Thread, Izz’s Pup Shop and Purple Outfitters put their marketing skills into practice. Additionally, the Carnival had an array of inflatable obstacle courses, bounce-houses and rock-climbing activities for Alumni and children to engage with.
