Smith was hurt during a drill at a Missouri football fall camp practice Tuesday and was helped off the field by team assistants. He was expected to be a key edge rusher for the Tigers during the 2024 season and received praise from coaches and teammates throughout fall camp.

Amid the ringing of cicadas in trees on a warm summer afternoon, Columbia residents gathered for a composting workshop on Tuesday at Britt Hall Community Garden. During the workshop, participants were taught both how to start their own composts for their gardens and how to promote sustainability. Brenda Peculis is a recycling ambassador for the city of Columbia and shared what she has learned about composting through her 20 years of experience.

The surge in University of Missouri's incoming freshman class has stirred concerns among returning students regarding life on campus, potentially resulting in limited housing options and overcrowded dining halls, facilities and parking. This fall, MU plans to admit 6,243 freshmen for the 2024-2025 school year, marking an 18% increase in enrollment from 2023.
