    After months of consideration on layout and kit levels, I recently bought a pre-owned Autocruise Select 144 from Somerset Motorhome Centre. After collecting the vehicle from the dealership – which has large premises near Taunton – we were helpfully booked into Cornish Farm Touring Park a few miles down the road to spend our first night in the campervan. This was done in order to test everything out before taking the motorhome home the following day.

Before then, it offered a range of panel van conversions under the Autocruise name, including the Rhythm, the Forte and – my favourite – the rear-lounge, side-kitchen Accent. However, for that season Swift came up with a new concept for its panel van range – also under the Autocruise moniker, but with a stripped-back style that took things right back to basics.

Or perhaps you’ve noticed other trim on your caravan becoming dry and brittle; once that happens, the A-frame cover or front panel can become degraded and even split.
