On July 31, the Bombay High Court directed multiple AI platforms to remove all references to singer Arijit Singh’s name, image, voice, and other attributes, granting legal protection to the singer’s personality rights. The Court found that some of the 38 entities, including at least five AI platforms and John Does, gained commercially through ‘unauthorised exploitation’ of the actor’s name, image, voice, and other unique characteristics. This infringed on his personality or publicity rights.

Malabar Gold Limited alleged in a complaint that Skariah made several defamatory statements against the company in a video related to the termination of an ex-employee of the company, who had no connections with the YouTuber.
