    A quaint storefront on Oak Street has sat vacant since Adella’s closed there in late 2023. But soon, a cozy coffee shop will open there. BROUGHT TO YOU BY The Light Meeting House Coffee Bar & Cafe announced via Instagram that they’d be moving into 1485 Oak St. sometime soon, complete with indoor and outdoor seating, coffee, and baked goods.     Although the Lower.com Field, home to the Columbus Crew, is pretty much brand-new, more plans are in store for the stadium. And it appears that these additions are needed. Last year in the 2024 season, every single home match sold out, marking a first in franchise history. This year, 2025 season tickets have already completely sold out.

    A community staple for more than thirty years is saying goodbye. Yao Lee Oriental Supermarket, located in the Clintonville/North Campus area at 2848 N. High St., posted signs outside their store that they would be closing. The owner, Mr. Lee, is retiring, according to a letter that was stapled to a community bulletin board. BROUGHT TO YOU BY The supermarket offers Asian pantry staples and snacks and is a go-to spot for many campus students.

    When one pizza shop closes, fingers crossed another pizzeria opens in the exact same place. Fortunately, that’s the case for this Upper Arlington location. BROUGHT TO YOU BY Panzera’s Pizza occupied 3794 Farlington Dr. for the past 20 years, but after the location closed, UA Pizza quietly opened there. Currently, UA Pizza is only open for carry-out, as the pizzeria is launching a new website and ordering system.

    If it seems like there’s a Sheetz on every corner of Central Ohio, that’s because at this point, there is. The Pennsylvania-based convenience store & gas station chain set a goal to open 50 Central Ohio locations by 2025, and number 39 and 40 are opening tomorrow. Both locations open Tuesday, May 13: one at 1555 Polaris Pkwy., and the other, at 5757 W. Broad St. out in Galloway.
