    SCOTTSBORO, Ala. (WAFF) - A proposed rock quarry is sparking debate in the city of Scottsboro. Tuesday night, city leaders held a public engagement meeting involving area homeowners and the contracting service expected to bring the quarry to town. Mayor Jim McCamy said Lambert Contracting LLC is proposing a new site for the quarry off of Hwy. 72 in Scottsboro. The City of Scottsboro’s planning commission is mulling over whether or not to recommend rezoning the area for the use of the quarry.
