Share KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Today is a First Warn Weather Day as the potential for strong to severe storms is still possible, mainly for this afternoon. Models are now indicating we could stay locked into rain through mid to late morning, decreasing the severe weather potential. However, with the chance for severe weather on a day when a lot of people are going to be out and about for Easter, we wanted to make sure to elevate the message as it COULD be a stormy afternoon.

Share KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Good morning and happy Sunday! There are a few showers out on the radar this morning just south of I-70. Right now, there are snow showers, and temperatures have dropped enough for the change over from rain to snow. These will continue to move east through the morning. Most areas will remain dry and cloudy to start. By this afternoon we will top out in the low 50s with clearing skies.

Share KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Good morning, and happy Sunday! We are starting off on the cooler side this morning with most everywhere below that freezing mark. After a cooler day yesterday, this afternoon will feel very nice with highs back in the mid-50s with partly cloudy skies and increasing clouds by late tonight. Temperatures on Monday will be in the low 60s with a slight chance of a shower or two; however, heading into the overnight hours the rain and storm chances increase.

Share KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Say goodbye to the arctic air as we are warming up this weekend! Temperatures are still cold, though, as you head out the door this morning with feels-like temperatures ranging from -5 to 5 degrees. Make sure to grab the coat as you will need it this morning. If you want to get your dog out and about, I would wait until it warms up a bit as these temperatures could still hurt their paw pads.

Share KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - The clouds and the sun are battling for the sky today which will continue through tomorrow. We will top out in the upper 30s for most areas but the further south you go temperatures could reach into the low 40s! The pattern remains mostly quiet for this weekend other than a cold front sweeping through overnight bringing cooler temperatures for tomorrow just in time for the game! Sunday afternoon highs will be in the mid-30s with some sun and clouds.
