Eight teams competed to decide which four would move on to winner’s round two and which four would fall to the first round of the loser’s bracket. Amongst all the teams scrapping for immunity from the threat of elimination, one stood above the rest in significance.

(Gray News) - The Call of Duty League’s (CDL) second Major starts Thursday afternoon in Allen, Texas, just outside Dallas. The tournament’s host is OpTic Texas, based out of Dallas. The last CDL tournament played in Dallas was the 2024 CDL World Championship, which OpTic won. They’re a team that has flourished on various occasions at home, but they aren’t looking strong going into this weekend, failing to make the winners bracket.

Several teams have found themselves higher in the qualifier standings this time around, whereas others have possibly fallen from grace. (Gray News) - The 2025 Call of Duty League (CDL) season is well underway, and the first Major is close to finishing its second day of play. Twelve teams compete for large swaths of CDL points and significant portions of a prize pool at each Major. Toronto Ultra is the host of Major I, which is currently taking place in Madrid, Spain. Each Major is set up as a double elimination bracket, with eight teams starting in the winner’s bracket and the remaining four beginning in the loser’s bracket.

(Gray News) - The Qualifiers for the Call of Duty League’s (CDL) Major I are done and dusted, and the bracket is set. Teams have traveled to Madrid, Spain, to compete in the first LAN event of the 2025 CDL season. Major I is the first chance for teams to grab a good chunk of CDL points and prize money. The tournament will run from Thursday, January 30th to Sunday, February 2nd. After Major I qualifiers, the seeding for teams was finalized.

(Gray News) - After three weeks of qualifying, a Minor tournament and a holiday break, the final weekend of the Call of Duty League (CDL) Major I qualifiers is here. The 12 CDL teams have been duking it out since the first weekend of December for seeding in the first Major of the 2025 CDL season. After this weekend’s qualifying matches, the top eight teams in the standings will receive a berth into the Major I winner’s bracket.

FaZe is no stranger to the podium, as they have rarely finished outside the top three in Majors since the start of the CDL. But FaZe has had some struggles in the early stages of this season. Leading up to Minor I, FaZe had a 1-3 match record, only beating the still-winless Vegas Falcons.
