    Despite rising waters that left their location under water last week, organizers for the Downtown Hopkinsville Farmer’s market are hoping the aftermath brings with it vendors and items for the opening of the new season next week. Downtown Renaissance Director Holly Boggess says the farmer’s market will be every Thursday from 4:00 until 7:00 at the pavilion on West Ninth Street downtown. She also says they will be bringing back the Saturday market on a trial basis.

    The City of Hopkinsville is continuing its focus on recovery and clean-up efforts from the record rainfall that fell last week. Hopkinsville Public Information Officer Amanda Brunt says a preliminary investigation has determined 150 homes,  25 businesses, and four government buildings, including Hopkinsville Police Department, Christian County Jail, the Regional Crime Center, and the State Regional Driver’s License Office were impacted by the high water.

    The National Weather Service Office in Paducah is continuing to assess damage from last week’s storms that produced tornadoes and flooding across western Kentucky. Lead forecaster Justin Gibbs says river and aerial flooding continues across the area. The only place NOAA measures in Trigg County is the Little River near Hardy Road, about eight miles from Cadiz.

    NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – New Mexico State Police (NMSP) have arrested a man accused of possessing over a dozen images of child pornography. According to state police, investigators received a tip recently about several explicit images of children being uploaded to a cloud account.
