The latest round of the Borton Cup on Saturday featured Glenavy beating Albion, Union beating St Kevin’s, and Valley crushing Waitaki Boys’. Glenavy batted first against Albion, posting 199 for eight in 50 overs. Harry Murphy (40) and Jeremiah Shields (71) put on a 113-run partnership for the second wicket, and Ross McCulloch added 21 in the later overs. Albion’s Param Bajwa took five for 46 off 10 overs, and Aneesh Bose supported with two for 52 off 10.

Glenavy hosted their first defence of the Payne Tempero Cup at the Glenavy Domain on Saturday. The home side started cautiously, scoring 48 runs for the loss of three wickets in the first 25 overs before being bowled out for 129 in 45 overs. Matt Tangney top-scored with 32, while Jordan Mulligan added 27. For St Kevin’s, Lloyd Fellowes took four for 13, Liam Direen three for 22, and Jack Kelly two for 17. In reply, St Kevin’s slumped to 39 for five in the 12th over.

The latest round of Borton Cup cricket produced victories for Oamaru, Union and St Kevin’s College. St Kevin’s beat Waitaki Boys’ by 30 runs in a tightly fought match. Batting first, St Kevin’s posted 185 for nine from their 50 overs, Jack Kelly top-scoring with 67. Flynn Sanford provided a valuable late contribution, adding 30 runs towards the end of the innings. Billy Wilson (two for 21), Jayden Dowling (two for 19) and Blake White (two for 39) were the pick of the bowlers for Waitaki.

The North Otago club cricket season began with the opening round of the Borton Cup at the weekend. Glenavy batted against Valley and looked set for a large score as they moved to 103 for one in the 15th over before Jeremiah Shields was caught for 33. Hamish McCulloch soon followed with 66. Both wickets were taken by George Franklin, who then tore through Glenavy, taking seven for 49 in his Borton Cup debut. Rodney van Leeuwen reached 26 as Glenavy was 177 all out in the 28th over.

Whilst generative machine learning has advanced protein sequence modelling, no existing approach is proficient for both unconditional and conditional generation. In this work, we propose that Bayesian Flow Networks (BFNs), a recently introduced framework for generative modelling, can address these challenges.
