COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — Sixth District Congressman John Rose says he’s running for the Republican nomination for Governor. The four-term congressman, who lives in Cookeville, made the announcement today during a speech to a group of Republican women in Williamson County. The location of Rose’s announcement is worth noting because it’s the home of Tennessee U.S. Senator Marsha Blackburn, the only other announced GOP candidate in the governor’s race.
