The Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 marketing hype appears set to begin after a new video uploaded to a 13-year-old YouTube channel has players in a tizzy. Legendary CoD villain Raul Menendez appears again in a new video uploaded today after re-appearing in the BO7 reveal trailer earlier this month, but this one is on the @cordisdie YouTube channel which was used for Black Ops 2 marketing all the way back in 2012.

The wholesale changes and reworks keep on coming in Destiny 2 for its Edge of Fate expansion next month, including how melee attacks and their effects work. Starting in Edge of Fate, melee effects will be additive instead of multiplicative, meaning the effects will be added together instead of creating a multiplier. For example, two 50 percent damage increases now create a 2.25x multiplier, but in Edge of Fate they will combine to make a 100 percent increase.

Borderlands fans, you won. Gearbox Software heard the feedback about Borderlands 4’s lack of a minimap loud and clear, and has been working behind the scenes on fixing things. When Gearbox revealed there’d be no minimap in Borderlands 4, opting for a compass with red markers indicating enemies instead, fans were not thrilled. After playing the game last month, I got used to the minimap-less gameplay, but Gearbox was quietly working on adding something new to address concerns.

The latest Unreal Engine 5 flex has come out of China with the reveal trailer for an upcoming action game that is just stunning to behold. Described as “an ode to the unsung heroes,” Blood Message is the first AAA singleplayer title from NetEase Games and 24 Entertainment, the studio behind melee-centric battle royale game Naraka: Bladepoint. And with just one reveal trailer, the hype is already building.
