The Seattle Kraken have promoted general manager Ron Francis to president of hockey operations, with assistant Jason Botterill taking over day-to-day responsibilities as GM. The move was announced Tuesday after the Kraken missed the playoffs for the third time in four years. According to a team release, Francis, a former Hartford Whalers great, will "oversee the hockey operations department as the main link between ownership, the senior executive group, the business and the team.
