The satellite company announced the agreement this AM during a hearing, which was then put on hold for a couple hours as the deal was documented. Back in court this afternoon, a bankruptcy judge said he will confirm the plan in light of wide support. Read @Debtwire for details.

Approving Purdue Pharma's bankruptcy plan, Judge Robert Drain says: “I wish the plan had provided for more. But I will not jeopardize what the plan does provide by denying confirmation. … I will confirm the plan.”

Or that his voice hasn't given out. I feel a bit raspy just sitting here listening.

Can confirm! Judge Drain has been ruling for roughly four hours at this point. He made a reference around 1pm to how long he had been talking, but that obv did not prevent the next 1.5 hours of additional ruling. Pretty remarkable he hasn't called a "comfort break."
