2 1/1 A popular running event returned for the first time since the pandemic. The Exmouth Harriers celebrated the successful return of the Budleigh Blister this past weekend, despite the initial setback caused by Storm Burt in November. This was the first time the event had been held since the COVID-19 pandemic, and it marked a new chapter with its relocation to the Budleigh Salterton Cricket Club.

Cathy Newman excelled at the Funchal Half Marathon in Madeira, securing first place in the over-60 category and eighth overall. The event, organised by the Athletics Association of the Autonomous Region of Madeira, offered three distances: the full marathon, the half marathon, and the mini-marathon.
