The Vancouver Canucks‘ minor league affiliate, the Abbotsford Canucks, won their first-ever Calder Cup championship on Monday, and a lot of that win can be credited to the performance of goaltender Arturs Silovs, who won the playoff MVP award. After breaking out in the NHL in the 2024 playoffs, Silovs struggled in 2024-25, but there’s a chance that after a strong performance in the AHL playoffs, he may be ready next season.

The Blues unveiled a new look on Tuesday morning, with changes coming to their jersey and logo for next season. The logo and jersey feature a modernized inspiration from the uniforms worn by the team during its inception in 1967 and ran until 1984 before the club opted to use a darker colour. The Blues also brought back this uniform for the 2017 Winter Classic.

After extending Matt Duchene on Thursday, the Dallas Stars needed to make the cap space to make other moves, so they went to work immediately and found a new home for Mason Marchment with the Seattle Kraken. Marchment underperformed in the playoffs with only five points in 18 games, so he felt like an expendable option for the Stars to move, even if they didn’t want to.
