HANG (available now)GENRE | PUNK (MASTER'S DIVISION)LABEL | FAT WRECK RECORDS It's been nine years since Lagwagon's last proper LP, and that's because of lead man Joey Cape's creative sincerity. Countless bands produce an album, and spend the next few years and albums trying to capture that first charming buzz. Lagwagon took their time and it shows. Hang is the four-block shape in Tetris you wait anxiously for, but when it arrives, its a perfect fit, harmoniously restoring order.

Teenage Bottlerocket are making skate a threat again. Hailing from Laramie, Wyo., Ray Carlisle is perfecting simplicity. Their debut album on Fat Wreck Chords is fast, upbeat and a precise breath of fresh air to the wart- and fashion-concerned punk rock scene. You'll never feel lost with them, as they're dedicated to their mobile mapping device. DO YOU WRESTLE BEARS? A lot of fly fishing. My 3-year-old son, Milo, and I usually hit up a lake with the bobber and worm.

Image By Scott MurryBack in July, at the Gubernatorial Candidates Forum on Arts, Culture, and Creativity in Worcester, Martha Coakley talked herself in circles and Charlie Baker was a no show. With Election Day edging closer, Coakley (D) and Baker (R) have firmed up their respective stances on the arts. It would be nice to think that the engagement is of their own voltion.
