(WJW) — Monday morning, rain showers increase from west to east across the area through midday. Communities in the western portion of the FOX 8 viewing area will be drier by mid-afternoon. Expect scattered showers and a few storms in the eastern areas mid-to-late afternoon. CLICK HERE to view live radar. You can check out future radar below. Highs on Monday will be in the 70s. On Tuesday, a drop in humidity with highs in the lower 70s.

(WJW) – A plume of wildfire smoke has moved into the region and will continue to stick around Northeast Ohio through Wednesday. An Air Quality Advisory has been issued for several counties in Northeast Ohio, including Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Portage, and Summit Counties, until midnight on Wednesday night. (WJW) – Temperatures keep rising. Northeast Ohio is expected to be even warmer on Tuesday, with temperatures in the low to mid-80s. Hazy sunshine through the day and a warm breeze. A plume of wildfire smoke has moved into the region and will continue to stick around through Tuesday. Wednesday will be the warmest day this week and very summer-like. Everyone will feel the heat and an uptick in the humidity. The forecast will be mainly dry through Wednesday.

The overall pattern this spring has lacked substantial warm periods. Yes we've reach 80 degrees a few times earlier in May but nothing since. Add the high frequency of rainfall and this spring has been anything but pleasant. It's not only across northern Ohio but a large portion of the Great Lakes, Ohio Valley and central US. Below are the temperatures compared to normal over different time periods this spring. Shades of blue represent below normal temperatures.
