STILLWATER — Capped by Jason Walk’s eighth-inning grand slam, 16th-ranked OU rolled over Oklahoma State 11-1 in the Bedlam baseball duel Tuesday night at O’Brate Stadium. The Sooners scored five runs, including Walk’s slam, in the top of the eighth, then closed out the run-rule win in eight innings. Sam Christiansen had two hits and three RBIs for the Sooners. OU’s James Hitt threw three hitless innings in relief to earn the win.

STILLWATER — In the late hours of National Signing Day eve, Oklahoma State added to its recruiting class with an in-state prospect. Miguel Chavez, a 6-foot-4, 300-pound offensive lineman from Muskogee, announced his decision to commit to the Cowboys late Tuesday night, just hours before the early signing period opens Wednesday morning. Chavez had been committed to UNLV, but OSU’s interest continued to grow in recent weeks. Chavez also had offers from Baylor, Army, Navy and others.
