Saltillo aims for successSALTILLO — The Saltillo Lions and Lady Lions have announced their cross country schedule for the 2024 season. Both teams are slated to compete in eight meets, and will look to extend their seasons to Regionals and State. Last season, the Lions and Lady Lions finished as District Runners-Up. The Lions would go on to place fifth at Regionals, while the Lady Lions took sixth place.

McDonald Postgraduate Scholarship from the Southland Conference. Only two student-athletes across all sports and schools in the Southland receive the F.L. On Monday morning, participants in the Fit And Strong exercise class walked a lap from the new Senior Citizens Center to The ROC and back with Dawna Pryor, director of the Seniors Center, leading the way. The Fit And Strong class is taught at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday mornings by instructor John Little, free of charge for senior men and women. Most of the exercises are done while seated, and participants can progress at their own pace.

The Lions are slated to compete in five races this season, which is their third in NCAA Division I and the Southland Conference.
