Photo by MediaNews Group/Bay Area News via Getty Images Last year, the Washington Commanders were a franchise in disarray. They hadn’t won a playoff game in 19 years, and they’d made the playoffs once in the previous nine seasons. Then, they hired former Golden State Warriors general manager Bob Myers, and subsequently improved by eight wins and made the NFC Championship Game.

The Rockets-Warriors series has been highly physical in its first two games, with both teams unhappy with which fouls have been called, or uncalled. Thompson's second foul appeared to have been initiated by the Warriors' Green, while Golden State's Gary Payton II was shoved down on a drive with no call. Quinten Post and Steven Adams pushed each other and drew double technical fouls. The whole series has the spirit of a '90s playoff series, with physicality, cheap shots and low point totals.

Jaylen Brown started the playoffs with a Dwight Howard-caliber joke about Harry Potter and the Orlando Magic and Mike Breen visibly cringed.
