Former Oregon Ducks running back Bucky Irving concluded an impressive preseason for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Friday. The 4th round NFL Draft pick led his team with six carries, 26 yards along with one catch for five yards in a win against the Miami Dolphins. In three preseason games, Irving totaled 18 carries for 80 yards and a rushing touchdown. He also averaged an impressive 4.4 yards per carry. "Just keep my head down, keep working," said Irving after his first preseason game.

Last season, the Oregon Ducks discovered their weakness in its only two losses of the season. Michael Penix Jr., Rome Odunze and the rest of Washington's lethal passing attack gashed the Ducks for an average of 320 passing yards across the two meetings. Oregon's secondary couldn't hold up for a complete game in Seattle or Vegas. Dan Lanning hit the transfer portal with clear intentions this offseason.

Sixth-year transfer quarterback Dillon Gabriel headlined the three Oregon Ducks that were named to the Associated Press preseason All-American team, announced on Monday. Fifth-year Offensive tackle Ajani Cornelius and fifth-year wide receiver Tez Johnson were also named to the second team. Big Ten Conference foe, the Ohio State Buckeyes notched the most first-team selections of any team with four and the most overall selections with six.
