Oisín Sherlock was back in Spain last week, taking part in Rallye Festival Hoznayo. He was once again navigating for Andrew McCourt, in his Ford Escort MkII. The event got underway on Thursday, with multiple runs of a 6.6km ‘Shakedown’ Stage, followed by a ceremonial start that night. Three stages were on the cards on Friday, followed by a further seven stages on Saturday.

Group 1 sees all 4 teams on 2 points as Cavan will face Tyrone in Brewster Park Enniskillen at 4pm with Donegal taking on Mayo at the same time in King and Moffatt Dr. Hyde Park.

It is a busy weekend of GAA action to look forward to with hurling finals in Croke Park and the 2nd round of the All Ireland series in Football. First up from a Northern Sound perspective will be the hurlers of Cavan as they look to lift in Silverware in Croke park when they contest the Lory Meagher cup final tomorrow at 3pm. New York who are only playing their 2nd ever game in the competition provide the opposition after overcoming Monaghan in the semi final last weekend.

Cavan hurlers are Croke Park bound to take on New York in the Lory Meagher cup final this Saturday. The Breffni side will be looking to put the disappointment of losing the 2021 final behind them as they topped the group with 4 wins, but will still be the underdog to the visitors from across the Atlantic who entered the competition last weekend with a semi final win over Monaghan and are favourites to lift the title in only their 2nd game ever in the championship.

The RAS Tailteann came to an end on Sunday past with George Kimber from the Isle of Man taking the win. Having experienced good weather on the opening days, the rain arrived for the weekend and made for a tough finish to the 5 day event.
