(WV News) — The Morgantown Mohigans took the next step in their quest for a fourth-straight Class AAAA state championship Tuesday, defeating the Preston Knights, 81-38, to claim the Region 1 title. With the victory, MHS (19-2) earns the No. 2 seed in the Class AAA state tournament and will take on No. 7 Parkersburg South at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 19. “We’re just happy to be punching our ticket and getting back to Charleston,” MHS coach Dave Tallman said.
