Hello Everyone! I am new to Bigger Pockets but am very interested and excited to begin my real estate journey. I would like to get started by doing a house hack in Baltimore City. I currently rent in Baltimore City and commute to the County for work. Ideally, I would like to purchase a multi unit property but I am not opposed to the idea of a single family home and renting out the additional bedrooms.

Selfie. These words are so old, some of them have already fallen out of favor. "They’re not influencers anymore," an art director cautions me, "they’re content creators." We live in a young millennium. On a human scale, Y2K is old enough to have already passed through the twenty year nostalgia cycle. Unless Bryan Johnson is—and I have serious doubts that he is—most alive of us today won’t be around for the second century of this new age. We survived the millennium, but the apocalyptic mood didn’t dissipate. It lingered. And every cultural conversation seems to be some rehashing of the End of the World.

Memorial Day beckons, Southern California’s May Grey has been blasted aside by the sun, and for my friends and colleagues, the annual ritual of sharing summer plans has begun. Should I go to Patmos? I’ve only been to Athens and Hydra and am curious about the other Greek islands. An overnight ferry seems to be involved though. I wince.

God in the Machine or AI-fueled spiritual fantasiesLast week, I said:AI isn’t immiserating us. It’s giving us delusions of grandeur. Just in time, Miles Klee from Rolling Stone published a piece corroborating my hypothesis. ChatGPT is convincing people they are prophets.
