NJPW announced 16 of the 20 participants in the A and B block during the Dominion PPV yesterday. The G1 Climax 35 tournament will begin on July 19 and run through Aug. 17. Four play-in matches will take place that will fill out the rest of the field on June 23 and July 4 with the winners each advancing to the G1 Climax 35 tournament.

The thought first ran through my head right after Cena beat Randy Orton to retain the WWE Undisputed Championship. Not that his heel turn was all roses and rainbows prior to that, but I felt more disengaged than ever after observing Cena after his match with Orton once the “live” part of the show ended on Peacock.

According to a report from Sean Ross Sapp at Fightful Select, May, a former AEW Women’s World Champion, is expected to sign with WWE once her contract expires with AEW. Sapp reported that he was informed by May’s management that her contract with AEW has not yet expired.

Khan was asked about the future of AEW PPV distribution on the Double or Nothing media call today. Khan said he was excited about their partners right now and specifically mentioned YouTube and Amazon Prime as being great partners. Khan said that in a short time Amazon Prime has become a “huge” part of their PPV platform.

That being said Gunther just feels like a champion, so it’s tough to keep that belt off of him.

Jey is so popular did not think he was going to lose the title tonight. Feels like a letdown I really wanted to see where he could go as champion with some strong storytelling to back his popularity.
