Frederica Academy players earn spots on all-region football team

Dealing with the loss of the state's all-time leading rusher Jordan Triplett, Frederica Academy turned to an array of options to replace the production in the offense. The Knights battled through a front-loaded schedule to prepare for the back half of the slate, when the young players began to mature to help Frederica finish the regular season at 5-5. The No. 7 seed in the GIAA Class 3A state playoffs, Frederica were handed a season-ending 35-14 loss by Valwood.

Playing one another in Tampa, Florida, in the second game of the season with the Mariners losing 72-58, the Mariners knew of the adjustments it needed to make.

For their resolve, the Buccaneers were recognized with 14 players on the all-region team, including eight first-team selections.
