A planned development known as Strathmore, one of several projects in store along Vint Hill Road, is moving forward to the Board of County Supervisors for final consideration after the Prince William County Planning Commission approved it May 7. The commission voted 6-1 in favor of the rezoning, with Christopher Carroll, planning commissioner for the Brentsville District -- in which the rezoning is located -- casting the lone dissenting vote and Chair Juan McPhail absent from the vote.

Prince William County Supervisor Yesli Vega recently received a $100,000 campaign donation from the wife of a local data center developer as part of her new political action committee known as “YES PAC,” which launched in December. According to a campaign finance report from the Virginia State Board of Elections, YES PAC received the six-figure contribution March 28 from Alejandra “Ale” Duarte Mulhausen, wife of Jeff Mulhausen. The couple lives in McLean.
