Key PointsQuestion  Does the adoption of enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) guidelines decrease hospital length of stay, hospital readmission, complications, and mortality? Findings  In this meta-analysis of 74 randomized clinical trials with 9076 participants, the ERAS guidelines were associated with decreased hospital length of stay and complications. Type of surgery and number of ERAS elements were associated with estimates of length of stay.
