Reached in 1921 and 1983, the current standing record for June 23 is 32.8 C. As of 1 p.m. Tuesday at Pearson, temperatures reached 34.4 C, Flisfeder said.

As of 11:50 p.m. Monday, with 46,088 of 75,485 polls across the country reporting, the Liberal party was leading in 164 ridings, and the Conservatives were ahead in 146 ridings.
