The government is unlikely to extend InterGlobe Aviation Ltd.’s leasing agreement with Turkish Airlines, in a move that signals further strain in bilateral ties, according to people familiar with the matter. The current pact, which enables IndiGo to operate wide-body aircraft on the Delhi-Istanbul route, expires on May 31. The government review is under way and the deal is “unlikely to be renewed” given the broader diplomatic context, the people said.

The Union government revoked the security clearance for Turkish ground handling firm Celebi Airport Services Pvt. with immediate effect on Thursday in the interest of national security. "In the exercise of power conferred upon DG, BCAS, the security clearance in r/o Celebi Airport Services India Pvt. Ltd is hereby revoked with immediate effect in the interest of National Security," according to an order signed by Sunil Yadav, joint director (operations), Bureau of Civil Aviation Security.

Vodafone Idea Ltd. has filed a fresh petition in the Supreme Court seeking relief of more than Rs 30,000 crore in connection with the adjusted gross revenue dues. Senior advocate Mukul Rohatgi, appearing for Vodafone Idea, informed the court that the petition is in the process of being filed and requested an early listing, citing the significant impact of the issue on the telecom sector and consumers at large.
