MARION, IND. – The outdoor track and field season began on Saturday with the Saginaw Valley State University men's and women's track and field squad competing at the Indiana Wesleyan University Polar Bear Invitational. Andrew Quinn led the way for both teams with three top-five finishes for the afternoon. He won the shot put with an NCAA DII provisional mark of 16.70m. Quinn placed second with a throw of 43.94m in the discus.
