1. IntroductionCoronaviruses (CoVs) infect a wide range of animal species, having a particular affinity for their respiratory and intestinal systems. The severity of infections caused by these viruses can vary greatly, ranging from asymptomatic cases to fatal outcomes [1]. Coronaviruses (Coronaviridae family, Orthocoronavirinae subfamily) have a single-stranded positive-sense RNA genome (+ssRNA), which is the largest among all known viruses, spanning a length of 25 to 33 kilobases [2].
