The Pretoria high court prevented Zambia’s former president Edgar Lungu from being buried in Johannesburg just before the ceremony was due to be held on Wednesday, after weeks of feuding between his family and the Zambian government. Lungu, who was Zambia’s head of state from 2015 to 2021, died in SA on June 5 while receiving medical treatment.

JOHANNESBURG, (Reuters) - The South African rand fell to a one-month low on Monday, pressured by volatile crude oil prices and risk-off sentiment following the U.S. military action against Iran over the weekend. At 1354 GMT the rand traded at 18.07 against the dollar , down roughly 0.4% from Friday's close and on track for its lowest day-end value since mid-May.
