Police say several members of the community have reported that they received a text message saying they have missed jury duty. The text would tell the recipient to click a link or go to a kiosk to make a payment, threatening serious penalties if they don’t comply. Some of the messages have spoofed the ELPD phone number, (517) 351-4220.

    LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — St. Johns Public Schools has released a statement after a ballot proposal for millions of dollars in school bonds failed to pass Tuesday night. The proposal failed 62.4% to 37.6%. It would have extended the current millage rate by an estimated 18 years to pay off $99,750,000 in bonds that the school district says would have improved school infrastructure.
