There were 40 new bills in the speech, aimed at setting a clear agenda focused on growing the economy and improving living standards for working people. And yet there were several pressing issues that went unaddressed. The government says its aims are to stimulate economic growth, enhance workers’ rights and promote environmental sustainability.
